I have 3 years tutoring experience plus 4 years editing experience including experience tutoring international students who were just learning English, tutoring students in speech, and creating resumes and cover letters. Having worked at both Michigan Tech's Writing Center and MDC Kendall Campus's Writing Center as a tutor, I found I derived a deep sense of satisfaction from developing and fostering writing skills in students. Watching students mature as writers and guiding them in that process is rewarding and fun so I have continued to tutor privately.
